As specialists in International Business Development, Boomerang Consulting Inc. assists companies in the professional or business services sector to expand internationally. Established in 1999, the firm is well positioned to facilitate expansion into Canada and/or the US on behalf of international businesses, and also has strong connections in Europe and the Asia Pacific regions. We are particularly passionate about promoting business between Australia/New Zealand and North America.

Boomerang Consultings services fall under three categories, (although these provide a logical progression, clients can engage us at any level):

• Market Entry Strategies – covering the planning process we provide market intelligence, preparation of strategic intent, support with start-up, etc.
  
• Representation and Business Partnering – we facilitate business contacts and links to alliances and partners, and offer representation and liaison services including running representative offices.
  
• Intercultural Support – provided to multi-nationals needing assistance with translation, localization, cultural orientation programs, and other cultural challenges with both internal and external communication.
  

Our role is that of strategist at the planning stage, facilitator of key contacts, and project manager in the execution phase.

We have been engaged by clients in several industries including consulting, training, communications, healthcare, human resources, recruitment, health and safety, interior design, software, education, research and development etc. Essentially, we can work with any company that is in the business-to- business services industry. Unlike exporters of products, these types of businesses face different challenges in how to enter a foreign market as they need to establish credibility. They have various choices such as whether to open a branch, look for partnerships and alliances or work from their home market. In addition, such businesses may need to adjust their marketing and communications to reflect the new culture, and train key staff to operate in an intercultural environment.

In 2001 Boomerang Consulting was a founding partner in the establishment of CANZBA, and has maintained membership in the organization since inception.
